Belt/Disc Sander Safety Test

Directions:

Directions:
Read each statement carefully and decide if it is True or False. Be sure to answer all questions. When finished, enter your FIRST AND LAST NAME along with your teacher's email address and click the submit button.

6. Remove jewelry, eliminate loose clothing, and confine long hair before using the belt or disc sander.

7. It does not matter if the belt is torn.

8. Hold material loosely while sanding.

9. The disc should not be clogged.

10. Proper ANSIZ87.1 marked eye protection should be worn at all times.

11. It does not matter what side of the disc you sand on.

12. Table should be tilted while the machine is running.

13. Do not force material against the sanding surfaces.

14. Keep your fingers away from the belt and disc.

15. Leave the sander running and walk away when finished.
