General Lab Safety Test

Directions:
Read each statement carefully and decide if it is True or False. Be sure to answer all questions. When finished, enter your FIRST AND LAST NAME along with your teacher's email address and click the submit button.

1. When in doubt, ask the instructor for help.

2. Be courteous in language and actions.

3. It's ok to talk to someone while they are operating a tool or machine.

4. Respect other people and their property.

5. Sanitized eye protection with ANSI Z87.1 markings does not need to be worn in the laboratory.

6. Running and playing is allowed in the laboratory.

7. Throwing any object in the laboratory is not allowed.

8. Working impaired is never allowed.

9. Students should wear closed toed shoes in the laboratory.

10. Food and drink are allowed in the laboratory.

11. It is not necessary to keep the floor and working surfaces clean and dry.

12. Hair that presents a safety hazard does not have to be tied back.

13. Respect all tools and machines.

14. Only the operator is allowed in the machine safety zone while a machine is running, unless otherwise specified by the instructor.

15. Do not report injuries or faulty equipment to the instructor.
