Miter Saw Safety Test

Directions:

Directions:
Read each statement carefully and decide if it is True or False. Be sure to answer all questions. When finished, enter your FIRST AND LAST NAME along with your teacher's email address and click the submit button.

6. Make sure all guards are in place and working at all times.

7. Inspect material for any foreign objects (nails, staples, etc.) before cutting.

8. Make blade adjustments with the saw turned on.

9. Make sure the stock is held firmly against the fence and the table before cutting.

10. Keep hands away from the cut line and blade.

11. Ripping (cutting with the grain) is allowed on this machine.

12. Do not start the blade while it is touching the stock.

13. Wait for blade to reach full speed before beginning to cut.

14. Remove scraps and stock while the saw blade is still spinning.

15. It is ok to leave the machine before it has come to a complete stop.
